Batik Scarf Collection. Ocean Mysticism | part II

Hi everyone, I want to introduce you to my project "Ocean Mysticism", the second and main part of it, which I worked on for half a year, and show you the fascinating process of its creation.
This is a collection of silk shawls completely hand-painted by me in the homeland of batik - in Indonesia. I have been painting on fabric for about ten years and only a few years ago I decided to pump up my professionalism in the batik technique, especially since I had a unique opportunity to do it on the island of Bali, in a family of artists who have been passing on their skills for generations and teaching those who want to learn. I want to pay attention to the fact that all the materials and the environment - the workshop right in the house of this family and their daily religious rituals - all this maximally immersed in the atmosphere of true folklore art.
It all started with developing sketches on my favorite subjects - seashells and ocean creatures, the island has plenty of that around and it was easy for me to find a source of inspiration.
I was learning NFT at the time and my first drop was just with them.

Next, I started to work by hand and began transferring the sketches onto paper and then onto silk. After that I came to the workshop where the main process of batik painting took place.
I ended up with 9 gorgeous silk shawls, 5 of them large 100x100 cm, and 4 small 70x70 cm.
Each shawl has its own name and legend. Each of them is unique and unrepeatable, especially since it was my last collection made entirely by hand.
If you are interested in the cost, availability and shipping of the shawls, please feel free to email me personally. I will be surely glad if each shawl will turn its beautiful mistress in the shortest time!
Thanks for checking out my work
